Brick pizza

I took on this one alone (sorry lance) I actually went with my parents to the new pizza joint in lindon that i've been wanting to try. I knew that at lunch they had all you can eat pizza so i convinced my mom and dad and we went in with high hopes of getting some good pie. I know what you're thinking, "pizza buffet and good pizza do not go together" well I normally live by the same belief system but this place is not normally a buffet, it is only at lunch where you can binge on pizza so i figured it had to be somewhat good. Well let's just say it was not all I had hoped for. The service was sub par and the pizza consisted of 5 pies that were sitting under a heat lamp and probably had been for 3 hours. The one employee in the place never took the initiative of making new pizzas even when asked so as we ate our choices became fewer and fewer. While the pizza had a decent flavor it was no better than getting a little Caesars 5 buck pizza. The only thing that brick pizza has over little Caesars is the wider selection. Overall i would not recommend this place to anyone, you would be better going up the street a little bit to pizza factory (hopefully i can review them soon) and once again sorry lance, but if you want to add your take to this place you're going to have to go alone because i'm not going to pay to eat there again.

in full agreement

I love burger supreme!! i got the number 5 which is the classic cheeseburger with pastrami on top. it's odd because i'm not normally a pastrami fan, but the pastrami at Burger Supreme is amazing, it's so juicy, and is a perfect condiment to the burger. I really do not have that much to say that lance hasn't already said other than, if you are in provo utah, make sure you stop by burger supreme.

Burger Supreme!

I knew I was going to be happy when we chose BURGER SUPREME. It has never let me down in the past, but it had been almost 3 yrs. The first plus is that BURGER SUPREME stays open till 10:30 on weekdays, most places in the Valley close at 9. The menu is huge something for everyone, Hamburgers in every variety, Chicken sandwich's, Gyros, Salads, French Fries and much more. I went with  the #2 comb: Bacon Cheese Burger, Fries and a drink,  all for under $8.  Even though it was pretty busy, we all had our food with in 10 min.  Now lets talk about the food.  I started with the fries and they were great thick cut, crispy, and creamy. Added bonus is the fry sauce, its great! I do consider myself a connoisseur of fry sauce though.  I often choose where I eat by how good the fry sauce is.  Now the Burger it was just right, thick and crispy bacon, juicy patty and all the good veggies but not to much. For fast great burgers BURGER SUPREME get 2 thumbs way way up from me.

Lance's take on the Smoking Apple

WOW, the smell of smoking meat only excited and reassured me that I was in for a treat.  The Smoking Apple has been remodeled and looks great. Ordering was easy grab a menu and let your mouth begin to water. I finally decided to on the 2 meat platter, choosing 12+ hr smoked pulled pork, and the beef brisket, the three side were easy Mac&Cheese, Cole slaw, and potato salad, I also got a water cup. We took a seat to wait for our order, which was ready in 5 min or less. Just enough time to sneak a smell of the House BBQ sauce and again my mouth started to water. I knew if the meat was o.k. then at least I could get it down with the delicious sauce. But the sauce was just the cherry on top. The brisket was pulled and super moist and full of flavor, and the pork (well i love pig!) it was smoky, tender, and packed with flavor.  I didn't even need the sauce. And yes as Joe said we did try the sauce on everything meat and sides, it was all good. Second best part after the food was that i was full. The Smoking Apple only felt me wanting more of their delicious BBQ.
I give it a 4 out of 5.

PS
I hear the ribs and cheesesteaks are outstanding as well.

Joe's take on The Smoking Apple

Friday night we were bored and I was craving some good BBQ, we didn't want to travel very far so we decided to hit up the local BBQ joint known as the smoking apple Lance and I had been to the same building years before when it was known as ma and pa's and we liked it so why not believe that good food would follow in the building's future? When we got there the smell was amazing, it was like a smoky fist punched us right in the face. We took a long look at the menu and we both decided on the 2 meat platter. I got beef brisket and spicy cajun sausage, each plate comes with 3 sides so i selected the mac n' cheese, potato salad, and a dinner roll. I was shocked by how fast the service was, we put our order in and got our food in less than 5 minutes. The food was amazing! the beef brisket is not sliced, it is pulled and super super moist. The cajun sausage was way bigger than I thought it would be but that was ok because this sausage is amazing! The skin has that snap to it while the inside is tender and spicy (not head sweating spicy but zesty). The sides were great as well, the potato salad and the mac n' cheese were both fresh and perfect. The only thing i wish was better was their bread. The roll was good but it was super dry and it tasted like a roll i could go buy in bulk at wal-mart. I found myself wishing that they could just give me a slice of home made bread, that would have been amazing! Two of the best things about this BBQ were that it was good even without the sauce, sometimes people get so fixed on the sauce when really it can hide the flavor of mediocre meat. The smoking apple on the other hand has amazing meat and the sauce only adds to the flavor! Their sauce has a definite vinegar zest to it and it is AMAZING we put it on everything including the mac n' cheese, and the potato salad. The second best thing was that the smoking apple left us full which is sometimes hard to do. Overall i'd give this place 4 out of 5 stars for BBQ (keep in mind i've eaten some real southern BBQ in my life). I would highly recommend that if you are in lindon utah and you want restaurant that doesn't feel super commercialized or crowded that you hit up The Smoking Apple.
